A guide to improving your horse’s performance with a little TLC
Just like humans needing a little TLC from time to time, professional horses do as well! That’s right – horse therapy! Who knew? We wanted to share with our fans and contestants traveling to Kissimmee this spring for the RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo some things they can do to care for their animals. These are tips any horse owner will love.
SPLIT SECONDS COUNT and in the rodeo competition to get and to maintain that performance edge, Lattner Equine Performance will be set up to provide Equine Equisport massages and revolutionary THEraPLATE treatments for both the horse and rider. Coined as a 4-zone vortex wave design, the main purpose of the THEraPLATE technology is to increase circulation and simply make the body’s healing process more efficient. We have seen improved joint mobility, increased bone density, reduced inflammation and swelling, reduces healing time, and promotes hoof growth. In addition, it will help the body recover more quickly after performance by removing the lactic acid from their system.
Cindy Lattner, CEO of Lattner Equine Performance, recommends THEraPLATE use for 10- minutes prior and 10 minutes after each run for best results. Cindy graduated from Ohio State University with both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Animal Science and served as faculty at Ohio State University for 15 years. She also has over 20 years’ experience raising livestock and horses, with additional class work and certifications in equine therapy modalities.
When chatting with Cindy, she shared that her company’s mission is to provide a holistic approach to performance enhancement, preventative maintenance, and rehabilitation therapy for the rider, the pet or the equine athlete in order to restore the synchronized flow of motion required for a healthy lifestyle and an improved athletic performance.
Cindy highly recommends the riders schedule the massage as soon as the horse gets settled after arriving on the grounds, to help relieve tension in their body and to restore their range of motion, followed by a THEraPLATE session. Plan on two hours for a complete session at $100.00, which will also include 3-20 minute THEraPLATE sessions. If you are interested in the THEraPLATE sessions only the charge is $70 for four 20-minute sessions and you can break it up however you wish. Or just a single 20 minute session for $20.00

If you are interested in purchasing a THEraPLATE for your horse, pet or yourself, see Cindy on details for purchasing or leasing a machine. Orders placed at the rodeo will be eligible for free shipping. Equisports Massager will be available to take home for $299.00, which will include free leg adapter, cover and cooling pads. A great show special!
